Salon Policy and Information

Preparing For Your Appointment:

IN ORDER FOR US TO MEET ALL YOUR HAIR NEEDS AND TO GET THE BEST HAIRCUT PLEASE READ BELOW:
-Come in with freshly washed detangled (Day 1 hair), styled how you normally wear it, and completely DRY.
-No pony tails, buns or braids.
-Please discontinue use of any Shea moisture products 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

What to Expect at your first visit:

The amazing team at Curly Hair Studio use a specialized dry cutting technique especially designed for you and your hair. Both inspired by the world known Deva-Inspired method of dry cutting, and Curly Hair Artistry techniques. After sitting and getting to know you and We’ll study your hair type and discuss it together.

First appointments take longer as we want to make sure we answer all your questions and give you the time you deserve, please set aside at least 2 hours for your curly cut and wash. If doing a styling tutorial please plan on an additional 30-45 minutes. Once we get to know your hair and needs and your curl routine is well established, a dry cut is offered in future as an appointment option. This is just the cut portion without the wash and style and can be a convenient option to maintain those beauty curls.

Are sincerely appreciated and are solely at your discretion. We work hard to give you an amazing experience and look forward to continued education and new classes each year to better serve our guests.

ARRIVING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
Please arrive at least 5-10 min prior to your appointment. Some stylists utilize assistants to double book and make your service even better having not only 1 person but two to help you with your hair needs.… We always take the full amount of time on each client and wouldn’t want you sitting too long waiting or missing out on your time.

Curly Hair Studio 100% Wellness Policy.
It applies to you and all the people living in your household. That means if you, your child, or if your roommate/partner/spouse has a fever, been throwing up, or has other flu-like symptoms, PLEASE stay home. If you are coughing ypu will be sent home and charged for a same day cancellation. So please call ahead.
Even if you had the flu shot or you already had the flu, you are not immune from the next mutated version.

We established the 100% wellness policy this year after having 3 babies born to staff in the past 24 months.

We know that rescheduling an appointment can be tough. With the new Wait List feature on Vagaro, you will notified as soon as an opening occurs.

You will not be charged a fee if you call ahead. If you show up with virus or flu symptoms, We will hand you a tissue and send you back home. Only no-shows/no calls will be invoiced for a missed appointment. Thank you to all my clients who alert me right away.

CANCELLATION POLICY
When you book an appointment, We set that time aside just for you . A minimum of 24-48 hrs notice is required if you wish to cancel or re-schedule your appointment.

  • If a cancellation is made with more than 48 hours notice you will not be charged.
  • If a cancellation is made with less than 48 hours notice a minimum charge of $50 for cuts and $100 for cut & color will be charged. If clients simply do not show up to their booked appointment without notification a no-show fee and or the full amount of service will be charged to your card on file and you may not make any future appointments without payment in FULL at the time of booking.

CHILDREN, YOUNG FAMILY MEMBERS AND EXTRA GUESTS
Please leave your little ones with a family member or sitter when you come for your appointment. Salons are not a safe place for children. We work with sharp tools, hot tools, and chemicals.
We are a small salon and ask that you do not bring extra people to your appointment that are not receiving a service.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
Haircuts are non-refundable and considered the stylists interpretation of perfection. However haircuts can be adjusted, as long as you make your request within 14 days after your service. We are happy to book a 10-15 minute appointment to make some quick adjustments so please arrive styled. Products can be returned or exchanged within 14 days for a full refund or exchange.
